Preparation for Scanning Dell PowerProtect Cyber Recovery
StorageGuard collects configuration data from Dell Cyber Recovery systems by opening an HTTPS connection to the Dell Cyber Recovery server and running REST API calls (cr/v8/login).
The following table lists the requirements for scanning Dell Cyber Recovery:

Provide the network name or IP address of the Dell Cyber Recovery server. |

Provide a user account for authenticating with Dell Cyber Recovery. The user account should be enabled to run unlimited read-only GET requests. Currently this requires assigning the user with an admin role. Examples for API/CLI calls used:

| 3 | Verify IP connectivity through HTTPS and port 14778 is available between the StorageGuard server and the Dell Cyber Recovery server. It's recommended to also enable SSH connectivity. |
Creating a User Account for Scanning Dell PowerProtect Cyber Recovery
The following suggested method can be used to create a user account with appropriate privileges:
- Login to the Cyber Recovery UI with a Security Admin user.
- Select Administration > Users from the main menu.
- Click Add User/Group to create a user.

Complete the following fields:
- First and Last Name
- User name
- Password
- Click Save.
- On the Role page, select a role. Click Next.
- Review the Summary page and then click Next.
- Click Finish.
