In this article
Requirements
| Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
| Appliance address | The network name or IP address of each ZFSSA. |
| Credentials | A REST API user name and password for each ZFSSA. |
| Role and permissions | The account needs an unlimited read-only role that can run all GET API calls, such as GET /api/system/v2/version, GET /api/hardware/v2/cluster, and GET /api/role/v1/roles. |
| Network access | HTTPS connectivity (port 215) from the StorageGuard server to each ZFSSA. |
Create a scan account
The following procedure is a suggested way to create the scan account in the ZFSSA user interface.
- Log in to the ZFSSA user interface.
- Go to Configuration > Users.
- Under Users, click Add (+).
- Enter the User Name, Type, Full Name, and Password.
- Assign the user the basic role, or another role that provides read-only access on all scopes.
- Click Apply.
- Repeat these steps on each ZFSSA that StorageGuard scans.
