In this article
Requirements

Create a scan account
The following procedure is a suggested way to create the scan account. The example uses the user name cntuser; you can use any user name.
- Log in to the Data Domain system over SSH with an account that has the admin role.
-
Create the user with the limited-admin role:
user add cntuser role limited-admin - When prompted, enter and confirm the account password.
- Repeat these steps on each Data Domain system that StorageGuard scans.
