Preparation for Scanning Dell Data Domain (PowerProtect DD)
StorageGuard collects configuration data from Dell Data Domain systems by running read-only DD OS commands over a secure SSH session.
The following table lists the requirements for scanning Dell Data Domain systems:

| 1 | Provide the network name or IP address of each Data Domain storage system. |
| 2 | Provide an array user account (and password) for each Data Domain storage system. |
| 3 | The user account should be assigned with an unlimited read-only role, capable of running all “show” and “status” DD OS commands. Examples of read-only commands used:

| 4 | Verify that IP connectivity through SSH (default is port 22) is available between the StorageGuard server and each Data Domain System. |
Creating a User Account for Scanning Dell Data Domain (PowerProtect DD)
The following suggested method can be used to create a user account with appropriate privileges:
user add cntuser role limited-admin
