StorageGuard collects configuration data from Infinidat InfiniBox by opening an HTTPS connection to each InfiniBox array and running read-only REST API calls. This article describes the requirements and how to create the scan account.

Requirements
| Requirement | Details |

| Array address | The network name or IP address of each InfiniBox array. |
| Credentials | A user name and password for each InfiniBox array, with the READ_ONLY role. |
| Permissions | Examples of REST API endpoints used: system/certificates, filesystems, initiators, network/interfaces, network/spaces, notifications/rules, notifications/targets, systemkms, and motd. |
| Network access | HTTPS connectivity (port 443) from the StorageGuard server to each InfiniBox array. |
Create a scan account
The following procedure is a suggested way to create the scan account in the InfiniBox management UI.
- Log in to InfiniBox with an Admin user.
- Go to Settings > Users.
- Click Create User.
- Enter the user details, and in Role, select Read_Only.
- Click Create.
- Repeat these steps on each InfiniBox array that StorageGuard scans.
